PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket Hey everyone if you haven't known already, I'm a big I love lucy fan. Now you're probably saying how does someone her age like that? I'll tell you, CAUSE I DO!!! Lucy is hilarious and very beautiful, I mean isn't it just nice seeing a caucasian women with a hispanic man? haha just kidding but everytime i watch the shows I laugh my ass off...not literally gullible people. So for a couple of months I begged and begged and begged my parents to take me to Jamestown, Lucy's hometown, cause over there they have musesums and gift shops, where Lucy use to work, all this stuff on the show. So anyways we went and I almost had a heartattack with how excited I was. So above are some pics from the day, I didn't put all of them because honestly i'm alittle lazy right now haha, Hey it's saturday give me a break! If you're an I love lucy fan I suggest you go, you'll have fun you'll learn alot about it but Jamestown is kind of a boring town, no offence. Anyways yea so heres some clips and hope you enjoy.

Reflect on blog

Since i'm not really into politics and don't really think about social issues, I don't think thats something i'll be writing about. Don't get me wrong it pulled me out of my element made me think and opened my eyes but I think i'm more of a music and culture girl. Will I continue blogging? Of course! When I log onto a computer at home I don't go directly to myspace anymore, I come here. I like the fact that others can check out my blogg, read it and reflect on it. I hear that I should be a counseler I give pretty good advice, Stroking my ego here haha, but no there will be times where i'll whip out the Dr.Phil, or Tyra banks. Blogging isn't only a source to write and express your own material but you can look at others as well. This whole blogging experience is amazing at first I thought it was stupid but now I think I need an intervention from how addicted I am to it. So check out my future blogs, don't be to mean :) and thank you Tigera, miss.cabera :) for opening my eyes to this.

Blog about blogging

Personal Benefits
1) Blogging has contributed to my own growth as a writer because it gives you away to express your own feelings, your own opinions and get feedback from others. Also it opens your eyes to different social issues that others might be to scared to even talk about.
2)In a way blogging has made a new voice for me because anyone can write something that a teacher tells you to write but when you can talk about something coming from your mind, your heart, your strong opinion and don't have to worry about being "safe," so I can say whatever I want.
3)I will for sure keep blogging after this, in a weird way its alot of fun. It's fun to go and check out other peoples blogs in your spare time, see what people say on your blog and post things that mean alot to you.
Societal Benefits
1) blogging can form new relationships between people in society because by you explaining something that most people would be like "no way can't talk about that" they'll see its ok to express yourself there's no right or wrong and you can talk about your disagreements or what you do agree on with eachother.
2)I haven't really commented on people i knew prier to blogging just outside of the class
3)I have talked to people outside of my classroom and discussed some things and it was a new experience for me a great one at that.
Redefining Media
1)The role of media in blogging is pretty important, your point of view matters
2)In media forms they only show certain parts they don't tell you the whole truth to probably make America look like this perfect place, but blogging shows real people who live in America to say "hey this is what's really going on" for me I think I contribute to that because as obvious as it is i'm a very proud Latina and i'm going to say whats up, whats going on in the latin world, but that goes for every other race thats dealing with issues media doesn't really talk about, thats just an example
3)Blogs have changed my point of view on media because i'll admit, i never really thought about it, I never noticed it but when the subject was brought up a light bulb just lit up and it opened my eyes
4) I don't think there's a limit or there shouldn't be one. People should be free to say whatever they want or feel we have rights to state our opinion. I might be young but i can still say how I feel. So no there's no limit, If someone thinks there should be one well...bull :)

Politics

Elections, elections, elections! When don't we hear about it? Turn to any channel and BAM! Obama or BAM! Clinton. For me I think that America is ready for either a women or someone from the African descent, but sometimes it seems like thats all its focused on. Don't get me wrong here its a great thing that its not the same ol' old white man after old white man but their race or gender shouldn't be evvvveryyything. What about how they'll change America, what will happen to the troops, what programs will they run? I think people who only focus on that just to vote..kinda twilight zone there. Who will win the election? I honestly have no idea if it was possible i'd vote for both, but one, can't do that, and two i'm not old enough. Now i'll be honest,do I know anything about politics? NOOOOO WAY, but I know what I want for a future. Will this election stop racism and sexism? Of course not, there will always be atleast one person out there who doesn't have respect for a women or respect for someone of a different race but it will... i guess be Americas "turning point." Now I know i'm young, I don't know much but does that mean I can't state an opinion on what future i'll have to live in? Oh yea yea yea! I forgot about John Mcain...well..hes a Republican...??..oh diss! Anways! back to Hillary and Obama..or Barack, heres some videos and even one of shakira talking (singing) about politics in general( in spanish but you'll know and feel what shes talking about trust me)
